Internet Browser Beware

Written By The Shapiro Law Group on November 25, 2011

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (the “USCIS) recently issued a warning to the public regarding illegitimate Websites that purport to be government related or otherwise helpful in assisting people to complete immigration documents.

These sites attempt to dupe users into paying fees that will ostensibly go toward visa or green card procurement, including government filing costs, when in actual fact the site scammers are just pilfering the money.

Some sites do provide assistance in filling out forms, but do so at excessive prices with confusing logos and designs that give the impression of U.S. government imprimatur.

If you need help with procuring a visa or green card for you or your family members, do not rely on questionable sources. We provide lawful, qualified and highly experienced legal assistance to our clients, so do not hesitate to call us for an appointment at (847) 564-0712 if we can help. Feel free also to check out our Website for more information on how we can be of assistance.
